Police searching for suspected toy thieves who allegedly assaulted store employee

SEATTLE -- Police are searching for a trio of alleged toy thieves who attacked an employee who tried to stop them from leaving a store Monday night, Seattle police said.

According to police, two men and a woman walked into a store around 7 p.m. Monday in the 9400 block of 16th Avenue SE. One of the men filled a shopping basket with toys and left without paying.

When a store employee tried to confront him outside the store and take photographs of the suspects' license plate with his cell phone, the female suspect allegedly grabbed the phone away.  The suspects tried to delete the photographs, but when they couldn't, they allegedly told the employee to delete the image or they'd return for him.

They then threw the cellphone in the street and fled in the vehicle.

Above are pictures of the suspects. They are identified as Raul Hernandez, Sandra Garcia and Omar Cruz-Resendiz.
