Nevermind: Crystal Mountain cancels Saturday opening

ENUMCLAW -- Crystal Mountain cancelled plans to open for limited operations Saturday.

After initially planning to open for the "Pineapple Shakedown," the local ski resort announced shifting weather patterns put a stop to those intentions.

Ski resorts around the Pacific Northwest remain closed late into the start of the ski season due to lack of snow and a pattern of warmer, wetter weather.

White Pass Ski Resort still planned to open Saturday. Whistler-Blackomb in Canada remains is also open.
