Gov. Inslee announcing environmental priorities, proposes more clean energy jobs

SEATTLE (AP) — Gov. Jay Inslee is announcing his proposals Wednesday for reducing carbon pollution and creating clean energy jobs in Washington.

Some of that was part of his proposal Tuesday for a carbon pollution tax that would collect $400 million a year from the state's worst polluters to help fund transportation projects.

Inslee is making a series of announcements this week on his goals for the session of the Legislature that begins next month in Olympia.

On Thursday, the governor will release his entire budget, including revenue enhancements.
