Korean Airlines official says 'nuts' to cabin crew service

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — A Korean Air Lines vice president has resigned amid mounting public criticism that she delayed a plane because the cabin crew served her macadamia nuts in a bag rather than on a plate.

The Korean Air Lines flight from New York to South Korea returned to the gate because the executive ordered a senior crew member off the plane over the incident. The airline apologized for inconveniencing passengers, but also said it was "natural" for a vice president responsible for cabin service to fault the crew's ignorance of procedures.

The vice president also is the eldest daughter of Korean Air's chairman.
