Lake Forest Park homeowner gets shower scare of a lifetime; suspect arrested

LAKE FOREST PARK -- An area homeowner received the scare of a lifetime Tuesday when they stepped out of their shower to come face-to-face with a burglar, police say.

The homeowner was at home Tuesday in Lake Forest Park, police said, when they hopped into the shower. While the resident was showering, a burglar entered the home and began to ransack the house.

The homeowner stepped out of the shower to find the burglar standing in the bedroom, police said. The suspect fled the house upon being spotted.

Police called to the scene located the subject a few hours later nearby. The suspect was arrested and booked for residential burglary and possession of methamphetamine, officers said.

All of the items stolen from the home were returned. Other property -- perhaps from a separate, un-reported burglary -- was also retained, officers said.

No other information such as the gender of the homeowner or the exact location of the robbery was reported by police.
