Chevron employee trapped under vehicle seriously injured, police say



BELLEVUE -- A 59-year-old Chevron station employee is in the hospital after he was run over by a 73-year-old woman while on the job, Bellevue police said.

According to the Bellevue Police Department, the Chevron employee suffered serious injuries when he was hit and trapped by the woman's car near the gas pumps Wednesday morning at a station at the intersection of Main Street and 100th Avenue.

Firefighters called to the scene placed wooden blocks under the vehicle to help remove the man, police said.

He was extracted from underneath the car and taken to a nearby hospital.

Police believe the worker was crouched down when he was hit.

Detectives are still investigating the incident.
