I-90 reopens after closure for snow, accidents

SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. -- Snow and multiple spin-out accidents forced the closure of Interstate 90 in both directions late Friday afternoon, the Washington State Department of Transportation said.

WSDOT said at about 4:30 p.m. that I-90 was closed westbound at Ellensburg and eastbound near the summit at Snoqualmie Pass.

But Washington State Patrol trooper Chris Webb said the eastbound lanes on the pass had reopened at about 5:35 p.m. And the westbound lanes at Ellensburg reopened at about 6 p.m.
