New video released on what would have been Brittany Maynard’s 30th birthday

PORTLAND, Ore. -- To mark what would have been Brittany Maynard's 30th Birthday, a right-to-die advocacy group has released a new video featuring the deceased Portland woman.

In the video, Maynard calls for more states to enact legislation that would allow terminally ill people to take their own life. The video was recorded in August.

Maynard ended her life on Nov. 1 after being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. She moved to Portland and into the spotlight after announcing she would use Oregon's law to end her life.

Four states, including Washington, allow ill people to end their own lives with the help of a doctor.
