You know it's a Monday when...

CARNATION -- Sigh... you know it's a Monday when your commute is held up by loose member of the equidae family.

Traffic in Carnation was backed up this morning with reports of a donkey on the roadway. According to WSDOT, the loose donkey caused some minor backups on State Route 203 near NE 16th Street in Carnation.

"So... maybe it'll be that kind of day," WSDOT Traffic tweeted.

Since there are no traffic cameras in the area, WSDOT released their best hand-drawn interpretation of what the alleged incident probably likely looked like.

Apparently, this isn't the first donkey WSDOT has seen on the road.

Traffic in the area appeared mostly cleared by 7 a.m. The latest location of the loose burro was no immediately known.
