Man shot, robbed in Des Moines; police looking for 3 suspects

DES MOINES — Police are looking for three suspects after a victim was shot in the hand during an apparent robbery Thursday afternoon in Des Moines.

According to the Des Moines Police Department, officers responded to calls of a shooting and a robbery around 12:50 p.m. in the 21600 block of 30th Avenue. Once officers arrived, they found one victim shot in the hand.

The victim was treated by medics at the scene, and his injuries are not life-threatening.

Police are looking for three robbery suspects seen fleeing the area following the shooting. At least one of them was armed with a handgun, police said.
