3 firefighters injured when car slams into aid vehicle

SHORELINE -- Three Shoreline firefighters were injured when a driver plowed into their aid car Sunday night.

The aid car carrying the three firefighters was returning to the station after a 911 call around 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of 185th Street and 5th Avenue NE in Shoreline when it was hit by a car.

According to the Shoreline Fire Department, the driver ran a stop sign and slammed into the emergency vehicle.

The firefighters suffered non life-threatening injuries and were treated. The condition of the causing driver was not immediately available, Shoreline Fire said.

The aid car suffered significant damage in the crash.

Police are investigating the incident.
