EVERETT — A truck carrying an oversized load tipped over while making a turn Thursday afternoon in downtown Everett.

According to Everett police, the truck was carrying an 86-foot girder for a crane that weighs 55 pounds. The truck tipped and fell onto its side around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of W. Marine View Drive and Terminal Avenue.

Nobody was hurt and police said the driver was cooperating with police.

Officials expected the road to remain closed late into the evening.

Four big-rig tow trucks were being used to tip the truck back up.
