AMBER ALERT canceled: Boy found safe; suspect taken into custody

YAKIMA -- An Amber Alert was canceled Friday night for 6-year-old Matthew James Hudson, of Toppenish,  believed to have been taken by female suspect Lyla Everybodytalksabout, 36.

The Alert was canceled within minutes, with the State Patrol saying the suspect has been placed into custody and the child was recovered unharmed.

Police said Matthew's mother, Michelle Hudson, parked her car across from the Toppenish Police Department at 1 W. 1st Avenue and went into the probation office. The vehicle was left running in the parking lot. Her son was left in the car with the suspect. When the mother came back out, the vehicle was gone.
