Seahawks claim tight end Brett Brackett off waivers from Titans, cut RaShaun Allen

RENTON -- The Seattle Seahawks announced Tuesday they claimed tight end Brett Brackett off waivers from the Tennessee Titans and released TE RaShaun Allen.

Brackett was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Miami Dolphins in 2011. He spent time on the Miami, Jacksonville and Philadelphia practice squads during 2011.

Out of the league during 2013, Brackett spent the 2014 offseason with the Arizona Cardinals before being released and signed by the Dolphins on July 31. He was released by Miami on Aug. 26 and the Tennessee Titans signed him to their practice squad Sept. 9.

This season, Brackett was moved between the Titans' practice squad and active roster, seeing his first game action vs. Jacksonville (10/12) and Washington (10/19).

Allen was originally signed by Seattle as an undrafted free agent on May 19. He was released following training camp and signed to the practice squad on Sept. 1. He was signed to the 53-man roster on Oct. 18 and played in his first-career game at St. Louis (10/19).
