Forks man charged with child rape for allegedly having sex with 12-year-old girl

FORKS, Wash. -- A Forks man has been charged with two counts of second-degree rape of a child for allegedly having sex with a 12-year-old girl, the Peninsula Daily News reported Wednesday.

The newspaper, citing court records, said a 13-year-old Forks girl told police that she and Brett Lee Card, 23, did drugs together and had sex about six times in two abandoned houses last December, when she was 12.

Card was arrested on a warrant Monday and will be arraigned in Clallam County Superior Court Friday, PDN said.

The girl told police the two met last November at Tillicum Park and started doing meth and other drugs together, and that they would break into abandoned houses to do drugs and have sex.

After evidence was obtained, a warrant was issued for Card's arrest Oct. 3 and he was charged on the same day, PDN said.

If convicted, he could face life in prison and a $50,000 fine.
