SEATTLE -- Flu season is upon us and that means sickness could be lurking around every corner, plus all this Ebola talk is putting everyone on edge. So I've got some sweet apps to take the headache out of preventing, treating, and tracking the dreaded f-word.

Lets talk prevention. The Flu Defender app is an interactive solution that provides all the critical information you need to protect yourself against the flu. Check symptoms with the symptom identifier and keep yourself well with flu smart facts and prevention tips.

If you do find yourself stricken with the flu scoot yourself over to the Cures A-Z app. It takes a holistic approach to treating common ailments by combining the best from both natural and prescription therapies. A great resource for medical self-help.

Lastly, they say knowledge is power, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention want to give you that power with their official FluView app. It showcases the CDC's Influenza Divisions' Illness Activity levels on a color coded map for easy reference. Check to see if your area is experiencing an outbreak.

Let the hypochondriacs rejoice.
