WELLINGTON, Florida -- Neighborhood fights over pet poop are nothing new.

But one fight in one posh Florida development is pitting billionaire and Microsoft founder Bill Gates against his neighbors and the battle is really starting to stink.

As Page Six was first to report Gates, who owns an $8.7-million horse farm and ranch in Wellington Florida, has been hit with daily fines for more than three months over an ‘illegal horse-waste storage facility.’

Turns out after buying the farm, Gates had the storage facility installed too close to a local pond.

Neighbors noticed and instantly started complaining.

The local code enforcement manager confirmed to Page Six that daily fines started for Gates in July and now he owes more than $42,000.

Turns out not only is the BM bin too close to the pond, but Gates didn’t get the proper poop permits to install it in the first place.

Since the fecal fight made news, work has reportedly begun to remove it.

There is no word on whether those fines will continue.
