Long Beach 'Tsunami Warning' alert issued in error

LONG BEACH, Wash. -- A  'Tsunami Warning' alert issued in Pacific County was an error, officials said Thursday.

According to the Pacific County Sheriff's Office, the Pacific County Emergency Management Agency learned a tsunami warning was issued in error by Accu-Weather recently. The alert was likely sent to some area cellphones.

There is currently no warning in effect for the Long Beach Peninsula.
