Passenger ejected from moving car, seriously hurt

RENTON -- A 24-year-old man was seriously hurt when he fell out of the window of a moving car Tuesday night in Renton.

According to Renton police, the man climbed out of his seat and was sitting with his body outside of the window and legs still in the car. The car's driver, a 22-year-old woman, was apparently  startled and slammed on the brakes -- ejecting the passenger from the car.

This happened shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Sunset Blvd N. near I-405.

The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Traffic investigators are still looking into the incident.
