SEATTLE — Dr. Gina Sucato, adolescent medicine specialist with Group Health, is one of the authors of a new report by the American Academy of Pediatrics that recommends doctors talk to teenage patients about implants and IUDs for birth control.

Sucato explains why the recommendation was made.
