Police looking for Burien home invaders who brandished rifle

BURIEN — Police are looking for two men who kicked in a door and held a home’s residents at gunpoint this morning.

According to the King County Sheriff’s Department, two men kicked in a home’s door around 3 a.m. in the 11000 block of Military Road South. The men brandished a rifle at the three residents inside, police said.

Something caused the men to flee before robbing the home and the family called police.

Officers called to the scene could dispatched a K9 unit but could not immediately locate the suspects. One of the residents suffered minor injuries of unknown origin.

Police are not sure why the home was targeted. King County sheriff’s deputies are investigating.
