SEATTLE — Police are searching for two young women who attacked a woman who is 8-months pregnant Monday night in Cowen Park.

According to the Seattle Police Department, the pregnant victim was walking back to a friend’s home through the popular Roosevelt neighborhood park around 11:30 p.m. when she was approached by two women.

The women — reportedly in their late teens or early 20s — hit the pregnant victim from behind, pulled the victim’s shirt over her head and punched her in the face.

Luckily, police said, witnesses driving past the park saw the attack and stopped to help the victim. As they did, a man watching the attack told the Good Samaritans “You might not want to do that.” But the suspects, along with the man,  ran as the Good Samaritans continued to approach.

Medics called to the scene treated the victim, who was later transported to Northwest Hospital with minor scrapes and bruises. She told police nothing was was stolen.

Both female attackers are described as 5-foot-7 and in their late teens or early 20s. One was wearing a pink hoodie, police said, and the other wore a light colored cape, blue T-shirt and blue shorts.

Police searched the area but could not locate the suspects. If you have any information about this incident, please call police at 206-625-5011.

All the Seattle parks and green belts are infested with transient bums of all ages. They live under the freeway over passes and panhandle during the day. Never walk through their territory at night. The Cal Anderson park on capitol hill has one of the worst collections bums in Seattle, but they are everywhere.

Race? Never mind telling us, that is the unwritten truth that we all already know. I have zero trust for snakes that revel in their criminal lives.
