FUGITIVE CAPTURED September 8, 2014 —
The Violent Crimes Task Force in Yakima says WMW viewer tips led to the capture of Sam Key in Chelan County on Monday morning.

He was arrested by the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Chelan County Jail.

Domestic violence fugitive, Sam Key, is missing from Yakima County, and likely hiding where he’s absolutely not supposed to be.

The Violent Crimes Task Force in Yakima thinks he could be hiding in Wenatchee — one of several areas he’s been legally banned from because of his extensive history of domestic violence.

He’s also prohibited from being in Douglas, Grant, and Chelan counties.

Key is a high-violent offender with more than 60 convictions on his rap sheet who’s breaking probation on a drug bust.

The task force says he’s escaped to Wenatchee before, and puts his victims in harm’s way whenever he’s around. He got caught there after trying to run from officers, and has a history of resisting arrest.
