CAPTURED: Burglary bust in Pierce County nets one of state's most wanted car crooks -- and his girlfriend

FUGITIVE CAPTURED September 5, 2014 -- David Prink was arrested by the Pierce County Sheriff's Department on Friday for burglary, along with his girlfriend, Cherese Peak. Court documents say neighbors spotted the accused criminal couple breaking into a vacant house on B Street E. in Tacoma. When deputies arrived, one saw Cherese Peak through a bedroom window, told her to come to the door. Deputies say Peak yelled something, then disappeared. A second deputy got in through a back door which had been locked from the inside by a screwdriver. Deputies say Peak was trying to escape, but was caught inside the home. They say she was yelling, swearing and being extremely uncooperative on the way to jail. A third deputy says she spotted David Prink trying to escape out a window. She drew her taser, told Prink to stop and put up his hands -- and he did. Prink gave them a fake name, but deputies figured out he was lying when he was booked into the Pierce County Jail. Inside the house, deputies found numerous tools, including a bolt cutter and crow bar.
