SEATTLE — A 31-year-old woman was transported to the hospital after a man who was refused a drink allegedly crashed his car into a bar on purpose early this morning.
According to Seattle Fire, a woman suffered a leg fracture when a car crashed into the Back Door Pub in the 12300 block of Lake City Way NE. The woman was pinned between the car and the building, and had to be extricated, Seattle Fire said.
She was transported to Harborview Medical Center.
The owner of the Back Door Pub told Q13 FOX News that the driver, a man in his 30s, wanted a drink at the bar but was refused service. He then tried to drive into a power pole behind the business, the owner said, and gunned the SUV into a crowd of people and crashed into the business.
Police have not yet confirmed the driver was arrested or suspected of a DUI.
Police are investigating the incident.
