SEATTLE — A 38-year-old Queen Anne Hill resident faces child porn charges after police allegedly uncovered child pornography on his computer along with communications to others claiming he had abused multiple children and sleeping adults.

Joel Glenn faces two charges of first-degree child pornography possession, King County court documents show.

According to court documents provided by the King County prosecuting attorney, Seattle police were alerted to Glenn after Google’s CyberTip program discovered Glenn was allegedly exchanging child pornography through a Gmail account.

Police dug into documents and Glenn’s emails, and allegedly uncovered multiple email addresses Glenn used to chat with others about child pornography. According to the documents, Glenn admitted to liking child pornography early on in most discussions, often asking others for “taboo porn” including “family stuff” and “young girls.”

Some emails allegedly detailed Glenn’s earlier interactions with young girls, as he often bragged about previous abuse, documents show.

Glenn also appeared hesitant at times when asking others to send him child pornography, saying he wasn’t looking to hurt someone’s life and he was “too pretty” for prison.

On Aug. 19, police served a warrant at Glenn’s apartment in the 1900 block of Taylor Avenue and confiscated his computer, drugs and cash. Child pornography was allegedly found on his computer, and Glenn allegedly admitted to sending and receiving sexually explicit emails of young children, prosecutors said.

Glenn was placed in jail on $5,000 bail. Prosecutors are hoping to up his bail to $50,000.
