SEATTLE -- If you're planning on tailgating for the Seahawks game (or if you want to grill it  up at home!) you will definitely want to make this burger. Trust me. I don't want to say that ate my half and almost ate the rest of the PLATTER afterwards, but, well, I would have.

Blue Friday Burgers

Celebrating the finest Seattle has to offer. A savory-sweet-salty combination of peak-of-season local blackberries and new crop apples with bacon-spiked Beef Burgers and melted Beecher’s Flagship cheddar cheese.

1 pound lean ground beef

1 egg or 2 Tablespoons light mayonnaise

¼ cup bread crumbs

½ cup crispy fried bacon, chopped into bacon bits

4 slices Beecher’s Flagship Cheddar

2 pints fresh blackberries

1 green apple, cored and sliced 1/8-inch thick into approx. 8 slices

8 slices bacon, cooked

1 cup mixed baby salad greens

4 onion or Kaiser hamburger buns
