Tacoma man shot in chest, police say

TACOMA — A Tacoma man in his 30s was found shot in the chest shortly before 6 a.m. Thursday, police said.

According to Loretta Cool of the Tacoma Police Department, firefighters responded to calls of a man shot in the chest shortly before 6 a.m. in the 8800 block of S. Hosmer street at the King Oscar Motel.

The man was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital after firefighters arrived. His immediate condition was not known.

Police are investigating the shooting. This story is breaking and will be updated as more information becomes available.
