Kent Police search for missing developmentally delayed woman

KENT, Wash – Police are looking for a developmentally delayed woman who was last seen August 9th.

Kent Police say Emilie Lorraine Zangara reportedly left her apartment in the 10800 block of SE 240th Street by foot that Saturday evening.  She hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Police said Zangara needs regular medication to control her bipolar disorder and it is not believed she took any of that medication with her when she left.

Zangara’s family said she has a the mental capacity of a young teenager and that she is easily manipulated or taken advantage of.

Police are concerned she may be in the company of a 43-year-old Kent transient named George Oberbeck.

Police say Zangara is a white, 4’10” tall, 160 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. She may be wearing a purple hat, carrying a pink purse and doll.
