KENT, Wash – Police in Kent need the public’s help in tracking down a man they say may have tried to lure a 13-year-old girl in early August.

Police released a sketch of the man they say approached the teen as she walked east on Canyon Road around 9:15 on August 8th.

The teen told police the man offered her a ride and she declined.  The man then drove off as she kept walking.  A few minutes later the girl says she noticed the same man was now following her on foot.

Police say the man tried to talk to the girl, but she ignored him and ran.  But she says he chased after her until she was finally able to flag down a passerby and ask for help.  That’s when the man ran from the scene.

Here is the description released by police along with the sketch:

The suspect is possibly a Hispanic male 5’8’’ to 5’9” in height, weighing between 150 and 170 pounds. He has dark hair, and brown eyes.
