PORT ORCHARD — A 17-year-old teen slated to be charged with the killing of 6-year-old Jenise Wright in East Bremerton will be tried as an adult in court, the Kitsap County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Gabriel Gaeta is slated to appear in Kitsap County Superior Court at 3 p.m. Monday. He’s expected to face charges of second degree murder, as well as manslaughter and rape of a child.

Wright was last seen Aug. 2 at her home in an East Bremerton mobile home park. Her parents called police Aug. 3 with reports of her disappearance, sparking a massive five-day search until her body was found in a wooded area not far from the home.

Gaeta was arrested Saturday at his home after investigators found forensic evidence linking him to the crime.

Deputies have not said anything about the motive for the crime, but they do believe Gaeta knew Wright. Gaeta lived close to Wright, family members said.

I would hope so but why is he being held in juvy then it’s just terrible in society now that the police and other government officials protect scum of society like this piece of crap yes they did there job and found him but my taxes dollars aren’t payed to protect him in this liberal state we will be paying for him to live in prison untell he dies of old age

  • The World is Ending

He is 17 so for his 18th birthday present if the trial is still going on which is highly likely he can be moved to a real jail, or if it is over he can be moved to prison, either one is a good birthday present for him. The only good thing is people like him end up spending around 23 hours per day in a cell by themselves (for their own protection) so he can just sit by himself and whack off as he goes nuts, and ends up doing himself harm. In a just world he would be put with the general population where the other prisoners could show him the same “love and attention” that he showed the little girl, but his attorney will try the insanity defense and he will get some supporters saying that it is not his fault that he is sic and needs help.

her picture reminded me of my niece when she was 6 – this story struck me hard and for the last two days I’ve been feeling like ‘this is life, and there is no going back’/ “the cup of the universe we live in is half empty” sort of thing… then today I remembered a quote from the gita,

“Just as the body sheds worn-out clothes, so the soul sheds worn-out bodies. And as we put on new clothes, the soul dons new bodies, as if they were its raiment.”

I was able to change the way I felt and know she’s moved on to the next thing and i don’t have to waste my energy hating people like that boy or feel anything but peace for her Not trying to sell anyone on reincarnation or disrespect their view of death, but to any one who felt the same i did I hope in some way or another you can see death as some kind of renewal; as a beginning and not as an end.

The universe doesn’t do cruel things like put a beautiful little girl to end, but it does tempt our ignorance into thinking it does.
