Bellevue police investigating allegations of assault involving Marshawn Lynch
BELLEVUE — Police are investigating an allegation that Seahawks runningback Marshawn Lynch was involved in an assault and personal property damage at an apartment building.
According to the Bellevue Police Department, a female alleged she was assaulted around 2:30 a.m. Aug. 10 by Lynch. No domestic violence or sexual assault was involved in the allegation.
The case has been assigned a detective, and police are investigating the alleged incident. No arrests have been made.
“The Bellevue Police Department is in the process of gathering the facts of this alleged incident, including verifying whether or not Mr. Lynch was in fact involved.”
Lynch was previously arrested in 2008 for hit-and-run and in 2012 for driving erratically and suspicion of a DUI.
