Medical examiner identifies two who drowned in Green Lake

SEATTLE -- Two people who drowned last week in Green Lake have been identified by the King County Medical Examiner.
Euel Desta, 21, of Shoreline and Abeney Getachew, 23, of Lynnwood were both pulled unconscious from Green Lake last Thursday night.
Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore said both men had been in about 17 feet of water. Another group of swimmers noticed the two men struggling in the water and called 911, Moore said.
It was unknown why the men were swimming in the dark.
