Man killed after exchanging gunfire with deputies at Burien home

BURIEN, Wash -- A man is dead after a gunfight with authorities in Burien overnight.

A King County Sheriff’s spokesperson said deputies were called to a report of domestic violence around 11pm Sunday night at a home in the 1200 block of 160th Street in Burien.

When they arrived a man barricaded himself inside the home and fired at deputies said the spokesperson.

The deputies returned fire and the man was hit. The man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives were on scene Monday morning collecting evidence and processing the home.
