Missing 4-year-old girl found safe; mother in custody after allegedly running over 2 people

VANCOUVER -- Police found a missing 4-year-old girl safe Wednesday afternoon in southwest Washington.

News coverage led to a tip that pointed police in the right direction, officials told KPTV. Police took Kimberly Gibson, the girl's mother into custody for an outstanding warrant.

Gibson is accused of running over her boyfriend and her daughter's father with a van Saturday in Longview.

According to the Clark County Sheriff's Office, the girl was in the car with her mother when this happened. Gibson drove off following the alleged assault.

Gibson's car was later found unoccupied at a parking lot in Longview, Wash, and the little girl was nowhere to be seen -- until Wednesday.
