Fingerprints help identify accused Bellevue fraud suspect arrested in Lakewood, linked to 9 bank robberies

CHECK FRAUD SUSPECTCAPTURE UPDATE October 14, 2014 -- Daniel Mills pleaded 'not guilty' FUGITIVE CAPTURED September 8, 2014 -- Bellevue police say fingerprints helped identify the man now in the Pierce County Jail for multiple bank robberies as Daniel Mills. Lakewood Police arrested him in early September for a bank robbery. “Back in June, we asked for the public’s help on Washington’s Most Wanted in identifying a check fraud suspect. This week, our department was notified by the FBI that that suspect was actually arrested in connection with nine bank robberies in Pierce County," said Bellevue Police Officer Seth Tyler. FUGITIVE WANTED IN BELLEVUE July 19, 2014 --  Bellevue police have a really clear picture of a guy who is trying to cash fake checks for more than $2,000. You can tell from the line of people behind him that he waits patiently to talk to a teller just like anyone else on important bank business, the only problem is that his checks are bogus. "This is a fraudster He knows the checks are bad,” said Bellevue police Ofc. Seth Tyler. “There's no funds in the account and he's just trying to get some cash.  The tellers have been great about picking that up and calling us immediately, but he's gone by the time we get there, so we're trying to identify who this individual is."
