A weakening front is moving in from the north and delivering clouds and even the chance of a few showers tonight into the weekend.

Yesterday we did squeak out an 80 degree temperature reading at SeaTac Int’l Airport which brings us to 12 days in a row we’ve hit or exceeded 80 degrees. That ties this heat wave as the 2nd longest heat wave in Seattle weather history. The longest heat wave of 80+ temperatures was a 15 day stretch back in 1977.

TODAY we’ll see brief clouds and nice mid-day sky conditions. By the time the evening commute commences, we’ll see a good dose of clouds moving in our direction. HIghs again 75-80 for Seattle/Puget Sound. There’s also a chance of showers tonight for areas north of Seattle.

SATURDAY has a chance of some showers. Though most of them should be for the Coast, Cascades and north of Seattle. High temps 70-75.

SUNDAY has a chance for some showers. High temperatures again in the 70s.

NEXT WEEK looks dry. We get back into a very pleasant pattern of morning clouds and afternoon sunshine. High temps look pretty seasonal. For Portland that’s around 80 this time of year. For Seattle, about 76 for this part of mid-July.
