KENT -- Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man who pushed a woman to the ground at a gas station, grabbed her purse and ran off.

According to Kent police, the woman was filling up her gas on July 7 at a Chevron gas station located at 10715 SE 240th Street. While the victim was walking out of her car, a male suspect ran up behind her and grabbed her purse. The victim resisted so the suspect pushed her down, police said, before taking the purse and running away.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries to her foot and arm, police said.

Though witnesses chased after the suspect, he could not be located by police.

The man is listed as 18-20 years old, 5'10" tall and Hispanic looking. He has dark hair with a goatee and brown eyes.

Anyone who knows this suspect or has more information on the purse-snatching is asked to call the Kent Police Department at 253-856-5808
