Tuan Tran: Convicted child rapist running under radar in Pierce County

Tuan Tran

WANTED IN PIERCE COUNTY --  A convicted child rapist who preyed on a young boy more than 100 times is missing in Pierce County. Tuan Tran got out of prison in 2012, quickly registered as a sex offender in Tacoma -- then disappeared. "Our suspect, Tran, when he committed a crime it was against a male 11 to 15 years old and was done repeatedly, many times. He's been convicted of that and he's a registered level two sex offender. So, we want to find out where he's at because people will not know that he is a registered sex offender because he hasn't reported, he hasn't given an address, and it wasn't a family member, so anybody that's a stranger, could become a victim," said Detective Ed Troyer with Pierce County Sheriff’s Department. Tuan tran is Vietnamese, 44 years old, five-foot-four, and weighs around 120 pounds.
