SEATTLE -- A system of low pressure now in Eastern Oregon will still provide enough instability to fire off some isolated showers across much of the region-- including Western Washington. We've had a pretty dry June so far. The first part of the month was bone dry-- and we've caught up somewhat with 0.57" of June rain so far. 1.19" would be normal for the month, which ends on Monday.

TODAY we're seeing some isolated showers up and down the I-5 corridor that will last in the afternoon in a few isolated spots. Temps a bit cooler than yesterday. Around 70-75 for today for most areas along I-5, 60s for the coast. Tonight mostly cloudy skies.

TOMORROW is still tracking to be the wettest day of the week. A cold front delivers rain at times that will taper into some isolated showers. High temps 65-70.

THE WEEKEND still looks to have some improvements. Some of the showers from FRIDAY will linger into the first part of SATURDAY. We start drying out by the afternoon. SUNDAY looks mostly cloudy with some nice sunbreaks if you're far enough south.

NEXT WEEK we begin the month of July. We're trending warmer and sunnier by the middle of the week. And our first peek at the long range forecast for the INDEPENDENCE DAY weekend is trending for mostly dry conditions.
