Deputies: 13-year-old hit by car, taken to hospital with head injuries

MONROE — A 13-year-old has serious injuries after being hit by a car Friday in Monroe, according to deputies.

Snohomish County detectives say the teenage girl was struck around 6:30 p.m. by a car on the 21000 block of Old Owen Road.

Deputies say the girl appeared to have head injuries and was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Investigators say the driver stayed at the scene was cooperating.

The circumstances of the collision and the extent of the girl’s injuries are unknown.
