Sunny skies headed our way?

It's the last few days of the spring season and the weather is looking quite pleasant. Everywhere west of the Cascades is starting out with grey skies, but it certainly wont end up that way. In Central Washington, there's a wildfire burning outside of Yakima. This morning humidity levels are relatively high for that part of the state. The gusty winds will pose a challenge for wildland fire fighters with high temps that will also not be helpful for their efforts. It's expected to get into the low 80s for this afternoon around the active Washington blaze.

TODAY the clouds burn off for some nice sunshine. High temperatures looking to be pretty seasonal around much of the region near 70 degrees for cities on the I-5 corridor.

THURSDAY starts out nice, but it will likely end up with some high overcast skies as a weak front moves into the region. Temperatures will be likely a bit warmer by about 3-5 degrees compared to Wednesday. This weak front could deliver some isolated showers Thursday night into Friday morning.

THE WEEKEND is looking quite nice. While there's a slight chance for a few FRIDAY morning showers super early, the afternoon has some gradual clearing but looks dry. SATURDAY at 3:51am PDT is the Summer Solstice. We'll welcome the new season of summer with a few morning clouds and some nice afternoon sunshine. The pattern looks to repeat for SUNDAY as well. High temps for the weekend all very pleasant, about 70-75. Normal for this part of June is 70.
