tacomapoliceTACOMA — Police said Tuesday night they have located an 8-year-old girl who went missing after school  at Birney Elementary School  at 1202 S. 76th St. in Tacoma and who had threatened to run away.

“Anastasa Scholtka told her sister she planned to run away because she believed she was going to be in trouble with her foster mother when she got home from school,” Tacoma police said. “Anastasia may attempt to locate her other siblings, who are in foster care in University Place. Anastasia is not familiar with Tacoma and there is a concern for her safety given her young age”

She is described as 4-foot tall, slim, blonde hair with brown eyes. She was wearing a red fuzzy dress, black sandals and was carrying a blue/black/white backpack.
