WMW viewer tips lead to arrest of convicted felon; accused King County woman abuser in Oregon

FUGITIVE CAPTURED May 31, 2014 -- The King County Sheriff's Office says Crime Stoppers tips from WMW viewers led to the arrest of Michael Hoston in Portland. The capture came after King County detectives had the U.S. Marshals Pacific Northwest Fugitive Apprehension Task Force alert Portland police about Hoston and the possible vehicle he was in. FUGITIVE WANTED IN KING COUNTY April 26, 2014 --  Convicted felon Michael Hoston is accused of beating and pistol-whipping his girlfriend in King County. Detectives say he flew into a rage because she wouldn't let him use her car. He took off, but deputies say he came back to her place a few days later and kicked down her door while she was home.

"He has quite the rap sheet. he's got some felony weapons violations in the past. Some other crimes, and this most recent was a violent assault on his girlfriend using a handgun." said Sgt. D.B. Gates with the King County Sheriff's Office. "We want him bad because we believe he is a danger not only to his girlfriend, but to the public at large. He's armed and he's shown that he doesn't care about his girlfriend or his family." Michael Hoston is 28-years-old. He's got tattoos all over arms, hands and neck. Detectives say they almost had him at a hotel in SeaTac off Pacific Highway and think he could still be hiding in that area.
