ATM Thieves: Two crooks caught on camera stealing cash machine from bar

atmWANTED IN ARLINGTON -- It took two thieves less than five minutes to steal an ATM machine, dragging it with their pickup truck right out the front door of a popular bar and grill in Arlington. Surveillance video at Razzal’s on 168th Street NE at 3:15 a.m. on May 30 shows how the crooks did it. One man stays in the truck while the other uses a pry bar to break open the doors. “He goes inside, wraps the strap, you don't see him wrapping the strap around, you see the strap coming out and getting hooked up onto the hitch on the back of the tailgate -- takes off with it and then they stop really fast and both people get out of the car, they scoop up the ATM machine, close the tailgate and off they go," said Kristin Banfield, with Arlington police. Both men wore gray jackets with hoods so you couldn’t see their faces but investigators say a crime like that in Arlington is rare so they are hoping they’ve bragged about it to someone. “I'm pretty sure if they have been out and about, they have talked about what they've done so I'm sure somebody out there knows something that can help us solve this case,” said Banfield.
