One person killed in house fire in West Seattle

SEATTLE – One person has been found dead inside after a fire burned a home in West Seattle Monday afternoon.

Seattle Fire originally tweeted that everyone was reportedly ‘safely out of the house’ in the 9200 block of Delridge Way SW.

But investigators on scene now say they have discovered a male body in the back bedroom.

Two dogs and puppy were rescued from the house fire.

The Seattle Fire Department later tweeted that cause of the fire was unattended food on stove. Damage was estimated at $120,000, and three people were displaced.
