Des Moines man killed in motorcycle accident in Yakima County

accidentTOPPENISH, Wash. — A 58-year-old Des Moines, Wash., man was killed in Yakima County Friday when his motorcycle struck the back of a car on State Route 97 about seven miles of Toppenish, the Washington State Patrol said.

The deceased was identified as Bradley W. Wolf.

The State Patrol said he was wearing a helmet, but it was not compliant with U.S. Department of Transportation safety regulations.

No one else was injured.

The State Patrol said both the motorcycle and car were southbound on SR 97 when the motorcycle attempted to pass the Toyota Camry and struck the back of the car instead.

    This is such a tragedy. My daughter goes to the same school as his daughter and he was a regular volunteer there. He was a wonderful person and you can tell he was a wonderful father to his daughter. My condolences go out to his family and I pray that God will keep them through their dark hours.
