Marysville Police investigating after teen shot in neck

Marysville Police are investigating early morning shooting that left one teen critically injured.

MARYSVILLE- A 17-year-old boy was critically injured in a shooting at an east Marysville apartment early Sunday morning.

Marysville Police say the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the neck.

The victim was rushed to Providence Medical Center by friends, and later airlifted to Harborview Medical Center

Detectives are working to piece together the details of the case, but have been hindered by a delay in reporting and witnesses who have not been entirely cooperative.

“At this point in the investigation there are a lot of rumors going around about the shooting,” stated Commander Robb Lamoureux. “Detectives are diligently following up on information they are receiving in order to determine what actually happened.”

Police are asking for anyone with information about the shooting to contact Detective Bartl at 360-363-8350.
