COLLEGE STATION, Texas A Texas man’s dash cam recorded the terrifying moment a cement mixer slammed into his minivan head-on.

Texas A&M professor Dr. Guan Zhu had stopped at a red light when the driver of the cement truck ran the red light at high speed.  Unable to make the turn, the truck flipped — hurtling toward Zhu’s windshield.

“In my memory a truck is coming,” Zhu told local station KBTX, “But I could not remember exactly how it happens.”  Luckily, his dash cam — which he said he bought a year ago in case of just such an accident — wasn’t damaged and had a perfect record of the crash.

Incredibly, the truck destroyed only the front end of the van and Zhu suffered only a minor scrape to his leg.  The driver of the cement truck also escaped without serious injury, although he was ticketed after the crash.
