Police: Teens driving golden Honda arrested in string of burglaries

SOUTH SEATTLE -- Two teens were arrested Sunday after allegedly attempting to break in to a home on 18th Avenue South, police said.

According to Seattle Police, the homeowners were home, when someone knocked at the door and rang the doorbell, just before 9 a.m. Sunday. The victims saw one of the suspects look through their sliding glass door, and then break the door with a hard object.

Officers arrived to find that suspect near their car, parked outside the home. The two other suspects fled, but one was caught after a short foot chase down the road.

Police believe the suspect's car -- a golden Honda -- has been involved in a string of home burglaries throughout south Seattle.

Both 16-year-old suspects were booked into the Youth Service Center, for investigation of attempted burglary.
